April 2010 Update (New Songs, New Line Up)!

Hi,

Hope you are all well!

Just to a quick note to keep you updated with all things My Endeavour.

Firstly a big thanks to all who continue to support our music, The Fallen and The Hunted continue to receive some great feedback and to gain us new fans!

So…what are we up to right now?

Well…we will be in the studio again over the weekend of 10th & 11th Apr to record the 3rd track from the album. It will be available for streaming the following week. It’s a killer track (our best to date)! We’ll keep you posted on its progress…

We now have a 5th member in the band and would like to welcome Colin Dickson on guitar! He’s been with us since the recording of The Fallen (Feb 10) on which he got to make his mark and has now been officially welcomed in to the band!
This move allows Tim to concentrate fully on his vocals and adds a real dynamic to the band, which is now sounding better than ever!

This year so far has been all about writing some killer songs and getting up to speed ready for the 1st live shows of 2010.
We are very close to securing some good gigs for the summer so look out for some announcements soon!

In The Studio This Weekend (30th & 31st Jan)

So, we are entering the studio again this weekend to record the 2nd track off Re-Invention. We are re-recording The Fallen which we are really excited about as we've had great feedback from the demo but feel it's about time that the song got the treatment it deserves !
Be prepared for some extra added bits and some awesome production !

Update - Dec 09

Hi All,
With 2009 almost over and with some great shows under our belt we have decided to take it easy during Dec in order to re-energise for 2010.
We are due to hit the studio again in late Jan to record another few tracks which we are really excited about.
There has been a delay to the debut album which will more than likely now be an EP set for a Spring 2010 release.
It’s been a great year and we’d like to thank everyone for their continued support and we look forward to revealing some more killer album tracks to you in 2010 !

Hi All,
What a weekend !
The Hunted is finished and we are eagerly awaiting the release date in order to get the track out to you guys / gals so you can hear us as we've always wanted to be heard ! The production and sound is massive...
Lester Woodward at Ignition Studios did us proud and captured the exact sound we were looking for, the guys a legend and a true work horse.

Recording Session

We had the 1st recording session for our new album on Saturday and the results were awesome. Just the vocals to finish this week and some guitar layering. This track is hard and in your face. A guaranteed crowd pleaser !

Gig – the Talking Heads – Southampton – Thu 18th June

The gig last night went down a storm. The sound is more refined, the musicianship tighter, the music more powerful. Things are moving in the right direction for us and the crowed reaction was very uplifting.
We are ready to take things to the next level…bigger audiences…bigger shows. We all enjoy playing these tracks and are starting to live for those 30+ minutes we get onstage to live out our dreams !
The word will spread and we will come ;)

My Endeavour - Future Direction

So...last nights rehearsal opened a few discussion points as to where we want to go with our existing tracks.

We started to analyse and break down each song with the aim of making them heavier and more dynamic.

The end result was very successful and we hope to unveil the new and improved tracks at our next gig.

It certainly felt that things were getting tighter and more powerful and we think that the audience will appreciate the re-workings !

The Logan Gig - The Brook - Southampton - Wed 27th May

This show rocked big time !
The Brook is an awesome venue and Logan delivered a tight and energetic performance to rival any top class hard rock act. They sounded awesome and won the whole crowed over !
We also had the pleasure of having a chat with the guys afterwards and I can personally vouch that they are a down to earth awesome bunch of talented musicians.
We also received some positive feedback from the band and the crowed and this show is now being hailed as our best performance to date !
The new track "Re-Invention" went down a storm too.

The Blaze Show !

Sound check problems aside the night was a success...

We dropped a song from the set list (What You See Is What You Get) and played the whole set down tuned.

The set ended up as:

It was good to play to a heavy crowed and got some good feedback after the show !

Little did we know that it was being photographed and reviewed by MintSouth.

As for the headline act...in Shakey's words "Blaze was sick...really got the crowed going" !!
